MISSION STATEMENT

The County Attorney's office provides legal services to the Board of County Commissioners, the County Administrator, and departments as necessary, providing advice on subjects affecting the County Government. The Attorney reviews Board agenda items and attends Board Meetings, including Planning Commission and Value Adjustment Board. The Attorney defends and initiates law suits and administrative actions on behalf of the County, including code enforcement hearings before the Special Master and land use appeals and litigation; drafts ordinances and resolutions, prepares contracts and agreements, reviews plats to ensure compliance with County Code and Florida Law, prepares deeds, easements, liens, releases, satisfactions, as well as other real estate documents.  The Legal Secretary assists and supports the actions of the County Attorney and schedules Special Master hearings.
