Municipal Service Benefit Unit

The MSBU (also known as Special Assessments) provides residents with a funding mechanism for specific infrastructure improvements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with citizens evaluating the possibility of establishing and MSBU district.
• Works with the County Engineer in establishing costs for the special assessment in regards to road districts.
• Works with public and FPL to establish lighting districts.
• Coordinates the public hearings and procedures required for the establishment of a distrct.
• Maintains and submits all special assessment rolls.
• Application for special assessment district.
